WHITE AND GRAY DEMIJOHN BOTTLES
A great DIY, in my book, is one that saves you money, doesn’t take a lot of time, and looks amazing! These white and gray demijohn bottles checks all the boxes and then some!
I’m a DIYer at heart, and as soon as I saw them I wondered if I could do a DIY version. Sure enough I was able to do a budget friendly DIY version that I love!
All you will need is a glass bottle that you love the shape of. I’ve seen a lot of the large demijohn sized bottles at Home Goods. They didn’t have any the day I popped in so I got mine at Hobby Lobby. It was 50% off, so I purchased it for $20. The smaller bottle I found at World Market, again it was on sale, so it cost about $12. There’s a good chance you may have a bottle in your house, that’s hiding out and needs a new look 🙂 .
The other key ingredient is the Krylon ColorMaster spray paint. This is the best spray paint I’ve found that sticks to glass. I picked mine up at Hobby Lobby for $5.99. I’ll link below the same spray paint I found on Amazon just in case you don’t have a Hobby Lobby near you, although it’s almost double the cost.
That’s all you need, glass bottles and spray paint! The large bottle is very large so I ended up using 2 cans of the ColorMaster spray paint in White Gloss. The smaller gray bottle I used less then 1 can of the ColorMaster spray paint in Pewter Gray Gloss. It took 5-6 coats to completely cover the large bottle. The gray bottle took three complete coats. This spray paint is also perfect for impatient DIYer’s like me, you only need to wait a few minutes between coats.
NOTE-Make sure you thoroughly shake the can with each coat. I find if you don’t the glossy sheen is not even.

I absolutely LOVE how they turned out! I think I’m going to use them on our fall mantle, which I will share later this week.
