Over the next few months I will be doing a tour of each room in our house. This will be a great way to update you on sources for all of our current items in our home. I am often asked about where to find a certain item, and I will do a detailed post on each room and then save the links to everything on my SHOP MY HOUSE page.
My plan is to walk you through each room as you would see it if you were to actually come over. The first space to greet you is our front porch, let me show you around.
Over the next few months I want to update my SHOP MY HOUSE page. I often get asked for sources
For years I searched high and low for a plant I could not kill to flank our front door. I FINALLY found it, and it happens to be olive trees. We live in Southern California so it doesn’t ever get too cold. This porch is mostly shaded except for a few hours of direct afternoon sun. So finding a plant that could withstand a lot of shade and then a lot of heat everyday was difficult! I’m so glad the search is over.
At the bottom of the post I will link to all of the sources, everything is currently in stock except for the door mat. However, there are so many great options out there that, here are a few of my current favorites.
FAVORITE DOOR MATS
I purchased this bench last year from Target, I’m so happy they’ve brought it back again this spring. It is a perfect bench for your mail carrier to place Amazon deliveries 🙂
EXTERIOR PAINT COLORS
Last Summer we had the outside of our house painted, I wrote a detailed post HERE. I couldn’t be happier with the colors, they are all from Dunn Edwards which I believe can only be found on the West Coast, but I’m sure you could call and get the formulas from them.
Stucco, Eaves, Some Trim and Gutters were all painted Swiss Coffee by Dunn Edwards.
Some Trim and Back French Doors were painted Cavernous by Dunn Edwards.
Front Door painted Boothbay Gray by Benjamin Moore.
FRONT PORCH SOURCES
Here are all the links to everything seen here on our front porch. Thank you for coming over, next stop will be our entry way.
