Spring Porch Decorating Ideas
Sharing our Spring porch today, and I’m so excited! This week we had a few sunny and warm days, and it motivated me to spruce up our front porch and get it ready for Spring.
These big galvanized planters are from Ikea and I’ve had for years, you can still find them here. I updated them with some pink primrose, and bright green succulents. I’ve shared before how much I love succulents, but boy are they easy to work with. I have the bright green succulents in some large pots in the courtyard, I just broke several off and stuck them in the soil. That’s all you need to do, they will take root here. Honestly that’s it-just break off, stick some where new, and they’re happy! My kind of gardening.
I love having this boxwood wreath on the door year round, but to add some extra spring cheer I hung a bucket and tucked in tulips. I’ll find some good faux ones to keep in there, but thought it’d be fun to share real ones with you-if we have a party during the spring time, I’d switch out the faux for real.
For weeks I’ve been eyeing this bench at Target. We had an outdoor bench here, that was really too large for the space. I decided to sell that bench and put this one in it’s place. So glad I did! I love how the seat is perfectly flat, it’s perfect to set a pot on. Like this natural wood pot, I’ve used it all over the house, as a planter and as a vase.
Target has a new gardening tool set in their Smith and Hawkin section. I think these are beautiful and the perfect gift idea for Mother’s Day. I plan on giving a set to my Mom and my Mother-in-law.
