Here we are…one week before the big reveal. If you want a recap you can find the previous weeks posts here.
In case you missed it last week I got the chandelier up and am absolutely loving it! The brass accent is so pretty-in the day and at night it puts off such a wonderful warm glow. A total win! Find it here. Let me catch you up on what’s gone on around here in the last week.
We added wood panels in between the vertical trim, so that when it’s all painted it will be a nice smooth, seamless finish.
And now I’m working on wood filling all the nail holes and caulking all the seams. Once that is done, it’s on to painting! All the trim work will be painted in a bright white and I can hardly wait to see it all come together!
You know how it is when you work on a project, at least this is how it goes at our house, everything is everywhere! And because every spare minute is spent working on this room the rest of the house feels chaotic and like things are falling through the cracks. I’m so excited to see the room to the end, and most excited about getting back into a routine with life.
My family has been so supportive. My husband is my MVP, he’s spent so much time helping me, he’s done all the cutting on the saw for me. And my kiddos are cheering us on and helping where they can. I definitely could not have done this big of a project in 6 weeks without them!

All the pretty things have started to roll in and so far I’ve loved everything! Cannot wait to meet you back here in one week and show you all the hard work pulled together. I can’t thank you enough for your kind comments here and on Instagram, it truly helps me stay motivated.
Don’t forget to pop on over to Linda’s blog Calling It Home to see the other amazing rooms in this One Room Challenge. I’m so impressed with all the different spaces people are tackling.
