This has been a very busy ORC week! Unfortunately I don’t have a lot to show for it. Everything in the room has been primed and I’ve started the final coat. I love the color but the room won’t pop until all the windows are trimmed out and the wainscoting is added.
It’s taking waaaaayyyyy longer than I thought it would. We have extremely high walls in this room!
Two items have made painting easier. I read some tips on Pinterest and one of the articles recommended them. I figured I’d give it try. They both hold paint in the handle so it saves you from constantly dipping the roller into a paint tray.
I especially appreciated it so I didn’t have to keep coming off the ladder.
They are both linked below-this is not a paid endorsement, I found them easy to use, and easy to clean. And it saves time on the big open wall areas.
I was out shopping for a client this week and found two chairs I thought would be perfect for the living room. Last week I mentioned the dining area getting a new look and feel, it opens up to the living room and I’m also doing a few things in there. I want a fresh, clean, peaceful room. These chairs matched the couch perfectly and were a steal of a a deal at HomeGoods.
Next week when I check in-everything should be painted and the windows trimmed out. Lots of work! But I know it will be worth it.
Don’t forget to head over to our fabulous ORC host Linda from Calling It Home and see all the other progress that happened this week!
See ya next week-
