MY TOP THREE LOW MAINTENANCE HOUSEPLANTS
I love adding greenery through out our home, I love the freshness and life plants bring to a space.
Using money wisely and reducing frustration are always goals of mine, I don’t like to invest in plants that are hard to care for and I don’t have the time to pay attention to high maintenance plants, and I’m sure you don’t either.
That’s why I’m sharing my top three low maintenance houseplants, along with my favorite faux greenery, these plants are low maintenance and beautiful.
They have all thrived in our home for over a year, without me watering them regularly (I don’t have a regular watering day, when they look dry I pour a cup of water on them), they have also moved from room to room, and not only survived but thrived. So in no particular order three easy peasy, beautiful, low maintenance house plants.
I really wasn’t sure this beauty would last, she looked a little high maintenance, but my large dining table needed something large and green to break up all the dark wood, so I took a chance. To my surprise this fern has been nothing but happy, and easy to take care of. She is currently in our master bathroom and loving life just as much as she did here in the dining room.
KANGAROO PAW FERN
This little green gem, has mostly lived in our front living room. On the tag, it states it needs moderate indirect light. I however have it where it gets fairly directly morning sunlight and it does extremely well. I bought it at a grocery store and it has been happy since day one.
The plant on the right is the Zanzibar Gem, and I have this one and a larger one and they are so low maintenance. They are happy in most light conditions. At one point I had moved it to our guest bedroom, which doesn’t get a lot of light, and completely forgot about it, so who knows how long it went without water, and it was totally fine, completely low maintenance!
FAVORITE FAUX GREENERY
Along with the three low-maintenance house plants, you will find faux greenery in just about every room in our home. I’ve killed one to many fiddle leaf fig tree or maiden hair fern then I’d like to admit to. Mixing faux into our home is a great way to bring the freshness and life to a room without the maintenance or care. An occasional dusting is all they require.
The Below is the current greenery I have in our home.
Summer is the perfect time to add to your greenery collection!
