Welcome to Part 2 of my Christmas home tour. I am so thrilled to be a part of the Joyful Holiday Home Tour hosted by Marci of Lemons to Lovely. This is a group of extremely talented ladies, and it’s been a treat to be included in this tour. At the end of this post there is a link to all of homes and you won’t want to miss out on touring them.
I haven’t named him yet but I love our newest member of our family. Isn’t he the cutest? You need to get your own, mine is sold out but you can find his cousin here. This deer is made out of paper mache he’s really light, which makes it easy to move him around the house. I wrapped a red scarf around his neck to dress him up for Christmas.
This is area is right inside the front door. Three years ago we switched our dining area and living room so we could extend the table and make more room. We ended up loving the areas flip flopped so much that we have kept it that way. This dining table can seat 12 and this part of the room has two story ceilings so it just feels spacious and open.
I wanted to keep the table simple yet festive. I talked about this table runner that’s actually not a table runner at all here. On top of the runner I filled a bowl with white and clear Christmas balls and added in some “snow.” And for extra sparkle sprinkled around mercury glass votives and filled a few with bright green succulents from the yard.

Right behind our dining table is our live Christmas tree. I shared our faux one here, but we always do a 10 foot live tree in this room. I really wanted to simplify the décor this year so I just did silver and white on the tree. For the stairs I put up our lighted garland and just weaved through a pretty white ribbon. I found this stockings in the dollar spot at Target and thought they were the perfect simple touch for the ends of the bannister. I added the traditional white lights to the tree and then mixed in two strings of these lights from World Market. I really love the glow and interest the two different lights add to the tree.
Here’s our formal living room. Again, I wanted to keep it simple and add in several cozy elements. I have two favorite items in this room. This must have blanket, it’s so incredibly soft and the pom-poms add a fun element. You need one for your home and one to give as a gift, it’s that incredible. Find it here. My other favorite is the gray, white and gold pillow on the couch. I found it at my favorite store Anthropologie, however I couldn’t find it online, below I linked to a very similar one.
I added some green garland to the top of our shelves and sprinkled in some Christmas decor. I made those white yarn trees years ago and still love putting them out. That’s an easy 5 min DIY craft, just get some cardboard trees and pick out some pretty yarn. Hot glue one end of the yard to the cardboard tree and wrap.

I looked for years for a nativity scene that I really loved, I finally found this one a few years ago and just love the simplicity of it. I set this up on our table at the base of our stairs. We pass by this area all day long when we’re home, and I love season this reminder of what Christmas is all about.
Thank you so much for joining me today. If you’d like to catch Part 1 of my tour, you can see it here. Here’s a peak of what you’ll see.
