My kids and I are heading up to my parents next week. Part of our fun for the week will include some sewing. My mom is an excellent seamstress, she’s going to teach my kiddos how to sew. I’m so excited that they’ll both learn this time honored skill. I’m also excited because I’m bringing with me some Indigo fabric and I’ll make some pillows during our visit. I have always loved decorating with blue and I love all the texture and pattern in the gorgeous indigo fabrics that have become so popular in the last few years.
Here are some of my favorite photos I found while searching for inspiration.
While I was shopping for pillows of my own, here are some shops that caught my eye. There are so many great shops on Etsy, I couldn’t list them all. These all sell pillows made from vintage fabrics.
Ulitmately, I opted to order fabric from a few different Etsy shops, and will make my own pillows. Here are some of the shops selling gorgeous vintage indigo fabrics. Again, too many to list them all.
I’ll be sure to share the vintage indigo pillows we make once they’re finished. I’ll also have a few tips I’ve discovered when you work with vintage fabric. Have a beautiful weekend.
