I can’t believe this is the last ONE ROOM CHALLENGE update before next weeks big reveal! This will be a quick post because I’ve got to get back to working on this office. There are quite a few details I need to wrap up, and this week I decided to switch a few things up. Let me explain 🙂
The art has shipped and I can’t wait to put it into these frames. It’s coming from Europe so I’m crossing my fingers it will arrive in time.
Everything is painted and the window treatments are up! So that feels good!
CHANGE OF PLANS
Sometimes this happens when you’re re-doing a room. But I just wasn’t feeling using the farmhouse table for the desk. The main reason I wanted to use it was BUDGET. I had the table, and while painting it white gave it a fresh and clean look, it just really wasn’t the look I wanted or very practical.
Sooooo I made the call this week to go with two ALEX DESKS FROM IKEA. They have a place built into the desk top to hide cords-it’s brilliant. They are very affordable and putting two together gives both my husband and I plenty of room to work.
So I’ll post the Farmhouse Table on Craigslist and hopefully cover the costs of one of the desks.
I’m so glad I made the decision to go in a different direction. Let me encourage you, when you’re decorating, if something just doesn’t feel right, don’t settle. I always leave price tags on and decide on a piece once it’s in place. Which leads be to the next change of plans.
I brought home and set up the Farlov Armchair from Ikea, and decided the scale was just to big for the room. So tomorrow I will return that chair and pick up another one that I have been eyeing. I’ll still be able to use a custom BEMZ COVER for option B. Unfortunately because of my indecision I won’t have the cover in time for the reveal next week. I will definitely give you all the details once I have it, and devote a whole post to the cover, the process, and all the amazing options BEMZ has to offer.
I’ll link to all my choices for our home office refresh. Time for me to get back to work! I can’t thank you enough for following this journey, and see you next week for the big reveal!
