FALL HOME TOUR 2018
Welcome friends, I always look forward to sharing for our fall home tour. This is my third year joining the Joyful Fall Home Tour, hosted by the talented Marci of Lemons to Lovely Marci always gathers such a talented group of bloggers to share their homes, I’ve linked to each tour at the end of this post.
This fall tour snuck up on me, and I have to admit it doesn’t feel like fall here in Southern California one bit. The last few days I’ve started layering the house for fall and now I’m ready for the chillier mornings and evenings.
For those of you that may be new, we just finished painting the exterior of our house. To celebrate that we can finally cross that off the to-do list, I replanted our porch planters. If possible (meaning if I can keep them alive 😉), I’ll keep the olive trees and rosemary and just add one or two seasonal items. Once pumpkins arrive to the stores I’ll a few at the base of the planters.
I’ll link our planters below, they are currently out of stock, so I’ll also link a few similar ones that are in stock.
FALL DINING AND LIVING ROOM
Keeping it simple on the dining room table for now. I found this magnolia branch and now I think I need to keep one on this table all fall. The rust color under the leaves adds the perfect fall color in a simple and natural way.
Our living room is my favorite room in the house right now. I just switched up the pillows and it instantly feels like fall. The shelves may get a fall/winter update soon. I haven’t changed them since THIS POST, which is a long time for me to leave something alone! Our home is always a work in progress from-decor to diy, I love a project!
The tray, and bowl are HomeGoods finds. The bowl is from Hobby Lobby, and I found those beads at a local shop near the beach.

FALL KITCHEN AND FAMILY ROOM
These hooks are fun to change up seasonally. I’d been eyeing the hanging planter from Target for a while and it went on sale this week, I love how it looks hanging next to my fall dish towels.
An easy way to add a warm glow is to put some battery operated twinkle lights under a cloche’ or in a bowl. Candle light is a must around here too. I just picked up this pumpkin one last week.
The family room is not totally ready for fall. I ordered THESE PILLOW COVERS which I think will add a pretty touch of fall to the sectional. Unfortunately they haven’t arrived yet. I did add some soft blankets and a few gray velvet pillows. The white and blue patterned pillows are actually napkins, and I made them using this NO SEW method.
MORE FALL TO COME
I’m so glad you came over for our fall home tour. I’ll be sharing more fall ideas in the coming weeks, like my fall mantle and our fall table.
Linked below are all the other talented ladies who are also opening up their homes. This is one talented group, be prepared to be inspired!
