Easy, Inexpensive, and Quick Christmas Table
We’ve almost made it friends, just a few days away from the big day! I’m finishing this post in the car on the drive up to northern California. We will be spending the holidays with my parents in the home I grew up in, just like the song says “I’ll be home for Christmas”, and I couldn’t be happier.
Before we left I set the table so we’d be ready to host my husbands family when we return home. We are blessed that his family lives close by and everyone is gathering at our house to celebrate a few days after Christmas.
I didn’t have much time to pull this table together, I literally set a 30 minute timer and thought whatever came together in that time period I’d go with. Thankfully it worked out, it’s simple and wintry and I used what I had on hand for the most part, the only money I spent was $2 on the place-mats.
I picked up the place-mats the day before in the dollar section of Target. One of the few things that I’ve seen lately that were actually $1 in the dollar section, they were $1 for 4 place-mats.
The centerpiece is a large low vase that I’ve owned for years, it was a Pottery Barn find. I just checked they don’t still carry it, but you could find something similar at HomeGoods. I placed some branches in the vase, again I’ve had these for years, however if you have fresh pine branches those would look beautiful too. Then I hung a few small ornaments to give the branches a little sparkle.
My favorite Hearth and Hand napkins, I got last year, from Target completed the look. A simple faux frosted sprig on top of the napkins and that’s a wrap.
DINING ROOM SOURCES
The soft neutral colors on the table compliment our dining room rug. This year when it came to holiday decor I kept things as simple as possible, and this theme continued with our table. I hope this gives you some inspiration as you pull your holiday table together. A few simple holiday touches can go a long way!
I’ll be taking the next week off so I want to wish you a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS from our family to yours!
