Mini Makeover time over here at Meaningful Spaces. I’ve shared about our kitchen HERE, and how even though it’s 20 years old I’ve made it a space I love until we can do a full remodel. Well the same goes for this bathroom.
Here is what it looked like before the mini makeover. Excuse the grainy, poorly lit phone picture, but you get the idea, it needed a refresh!
YUP there it is! So I wanted a fresh, clean look. It is also a 20 year old bathroom, and while we aren’t quite ready for a full remodel, I knew I could do some things to make it look fresh.
I kept the wall color, which is Sherwin Williams Sea Salt, it’s a fresh, spa like color. One of the biggest changes was switching out the mirror. I loved that mirror but it sort of overwhelmed the bathroom. I choose THIS clean beveled mirror from Target. You can’t beat the price for such a large mirror.
Then I started fresh with some new black and white accesories and greenery. I LOVE this black and white print from Minted. Find it HERE.
I did some maintenance on the shower grout that made it look like a brand new shower.
I took the time to really deep clean all the white grout and fill in any chipped our areas. I used Polyblend Non-Sanded Grout to fill in the grout areas that had washed out. And then I went and painted on the Polyblend Grout Renew in bright white to all the grout areas that needed to be refreshed. I’d never used these products but they were easy to use and made the grout look brand new.
The biggest project we did was adding some board and batten trim work to the area behind the toilet. This was a DIY and it really made the odd shaped walls behind the toilet seem purposeful.
We kept the same lighting, we had switched out the sconces a few years ago, find the sconces HERE.

In the future we will switch out the vanity, do white marble countertops and new white subway tile in the shower, all the other elements will stay. In the meantime I’m loving the new fresh and clean mini makeover.
I hope this inspires you to love the space you have, and that you can make simple changes to create a fresh space you love.
