Organization Challenge UPDATE
I apologize for not getting April’s organization\deep cleaning check list out to you. Let’s use this month to catch up or work on a space not covered in the challenge. In May we will tackle our paperwork and office spaces. Then in June we will end the challenge with the dreaded….garage!
Congratulations to Toni (please check your email), for completing and winning the March challenge. I’ve heard from many of you that you’re loving this series, and I look forward to getting back on track in May 🙂
ENTRY WAY TOUR
This year my goal is to share a new space in our home monthly with updated sources. Last month I shared our FRONT PORCH and this month I’ll take you around our entry way. I frequently get asked about where I purchased something and I hope this will be an easy way to source everything. I have a separate SHOP OUR HOME page and will this post and the sources there so it will be easy to find for future reference.
I don’t show this view very often but the entry and front room have two-story ceilings. Years ago we added the white wood work during THE ONE ROOM CHALLENGE and it really helps ground the space. We wrapped the wood work around into the entry way.
Our entry way is a relatively small space, and we’ve toyed with the idea of taking out this low wall. Until we are able to replace the flooring it will stay, and it does help divine the space.
I searched high and low for just the right entry way table. I couldn’t find what I was envisioning so I built the one you see here. It was my first solo word working project and I love how it turned out. Find all the details on HOW TO BUILD YOUR OWN TABLE HERE.
I also built a little DIY bench for the other side of the entry way a few weeks ago. It comes in handy as a place for guests to set down their purses or keys. Let me know if you’d like a DIY post on the bench. It only took a couple of hours start to finish. I painted it HALE NAVY by Benjamin Moore.
I will link to all of the sources I can find. Some items may be no longer available, if that’s the case I will link to some similar options.
My hanging planter is from Target. They no longer carry it but here are some beautiful alternatives.
WALL COLOR-Revere Pewter at 50% by Benjamin Moore
WHITE WOOD WORK COLOR- Sherwin Williams Trim and Door Enamel Paint. In the off the shelf color Extra White.
BENCH PAINT COLOR- Hale Navy by Benjamin Moore
I hope you enjoyed the tour and you gained some ideas for your entry way!
